BANJA LUKA, Bosnia - Thieves mistakenly took away an empty safe during a bank robbery on Thursday in a Bosnian village, police said.
The unknown robbers broke the door to the bank in the Trn village in the early hours and took away a small safe that has long been out of use, according to bank officials.
An investigation is under the way, police said.
Bank robberies take place almost every day across
Bosnia, where many people are still armed following the
1992-95 war, which probably accounts for why the
following bylines are given almost as much space as the
rest of this article.
