Free Pizza

A man who was promised free pizza for life if he burnt down a rival pizza shop has got more than he bargained for.

Six years in jail, in fact.

Frank Foschini doused Papa John's pizza parlour in Melbourne in 2005, then lit it, setting off an explosion that eliminated the competitor, a brick wall or two in the vicinity and sent Foschini flying.

Job done, now for the pizza.

But the only surprise Foschini got was a summons to appear before court and - apart from an $800 downpayment to do the deed - no sign of support from the man who hired him.

Papa Johns still remains closed to this day, but Foschini has at least kicked his $500-a-day heroin habit, so that's something.

And at least he can count on regular meals for the next six years.

People Behaving Badly

"There's nowt as queer as folk" said someone once in a suitably heavy rural British accent, no doubt with a wise shake of the head.
