Montauk Monster may have prehistoric Siberian cousin

Strange creatures such as the Montauk Monster have been washing ashore around the globe for several years now, it seems, after Russian soldiers carried away a strange carcass resembling a plesiosaur.

The now-famed Montauk Monster - an unidentified creature that washed ashore on a New York beach earlier this year - may have a Siberian cousin.

Strange creatures have been washing ashore around the globe for several years now, it seems.

A photo essay posted on EnglishRussia.com shows the carcass of a reptilian creature that some Russian soldiers found on a beach on the island of Sakhalin, near Japan.

EnglishRussia says: "According to the bones and teeth, it is not a fish. According to its skeleton, it’s not a crocodile or alligator. It has a skin with hair or fur."
